I'm a veteran when it comes to social networks. I've collected a couple profiles along the way and managing them can become a nightmare. Now I've found a pretty hand way to get them sorted into a quick and easy 'launchpad' - thanks to Google Profiles.
Using my Google profile I now have all my communities right infront of me.
No exceptional skill is required to set it up either and anyone with a gmail or other google account can quickly configure their My Profile page to such a PPLP (pimped personal launch pad)
Under the ABOUT ME index, I went a little further and add a list of my favorites.
These then act as bookmarks for sites I regularly visit.
I use this profile as a general info page and have referred all types of people to it.
It's really simple and handy.
Remember the information is public so don't put profiles or links into it that might be confidential or embarrassing.
